The industry's most affordable waterproof inkjet film

We worked hard on this one. After A LOT of testing and R&D, we created what is undoubtedly THE BEST inkjet film on the market. MaxBlack WP is a specially formulated clear film that produces very dense black images using either off-the-shelf Epson dye-based ink or pigment ink. To get the darkest film positives possible, you will need to use a RIP software program such as FilmMaker, the worlds leading software RIP for making screenprinting film positives! MaxBlack WP waterproof film works perfect with other RIP's Such as AccuRIP or ScreenRIP Pro. MaxBlack WP is very smooth on both sides and has a special back coating to prevent curl and static. MaxBlack WP is the perfect choice for your inkjet film positives.

Don't buy less expensive inkjet film...

Less expensive inkjet films (like matte finished films on the market) have major dot gain and give the image a rough edge. Some cause serious banding (streaking) issues! Don't save a few pennies on inferior film and waste dollars trying to get the job to burn and print correctly. For the best edge definition and dense dark blacks without pinholes, use film with a smooth coating - like MaxBlack®.

Rolls or Cut Sheets?

Many customers assume the best economy is to buy inkjet film by the roll. The problem is that some older inkjet printers like the Epson 3000 and 1520 DO NOT print in register when feeding off of a roll. If you want PERFECT registration on these printers, purchase boxes of sheet film. If you are using an Epson 4000, 7000, 9000 series printer, we recommend rolls because of their superior roll feeding mechanism and automatic cutter that makes these printers the leading choice for making your inkjet film positives.

Do I need a RIP?

If you want DENSE black images and halftone dots, you need a RIP like FilmMaker® . Software RIP's tells the inkjet printer how many passes to make when printing black so the printer lays down a much denser ink deposit when using a RIP. The magic of getting dense black images is not entirely in the film. The most important thing the RIP does is tell the printer have to print a halftone dot. Because inkjet printers are not PostScript (PS) they do not know how to generate a halftone dot without the help of RIP software such as FilmMaker. The RIP is part of the magic!
